Moke Electric FAQ
Everything you need to know about owning, charging, and driving a Moke Electric from Friendly Moke Detroit.
Yes. Every Moke Electric is a federally-classified Low Speed Vehicle (LSV) with a 45 MPH top speed on the 72V lithium package. LSVs are street-legal on roads posted 45 MPH or less in most U.S. states — check your local statutes for exact restrictions.
A full charge takes about 8 hours from a standard 110V household outlet — no special charger or 240V install required.
Configurator builds now include the 72V 175AH lithium battery package as standard: ~80 miles of range with a 45 MPH top speed.
Because it's fully electric, there are no oil changes, spark plugs, or transmission fluids. Routine care is limited to tire pressure, brake inspection, and keeping the battery topped up. Every Moke ships with a bumper-to-bumper warranty.
No. A standard state driver's license is all you need. The Moke is registered, titled, and insured like any other passenger vehicle in LSV-permitting states.
